Basil Herb

Used in cooking to aid digestion and calm the mind, it’s a diuretic and natural laxative and is a sacred herb: In India (called Tulsi) figures in the worship of the god Vishnu; in Haiti, associated with the loa Erzuli. It is used for exorcism, protection, and love potions. Sprinkled around the house to ward off evil/negative spirits. There is an old saying, "Where Basil grows, no evil goes!" and "Where Basil is, no evil lives." A gift of Basil given to someone moving into a new home will bring them good luck.
